UT 2003 wallpaper: After a really long hiatus from releasing game-based wallpapers, I finally found time out from 'real life' to make a wallpaper. This one is based on Unreal Tournament 2003, and pokes a little fun at that "other multiplayer FPS" :-). It's all in good humor, as I like both games equally well.
You can download the wallpaper from the "My Wallpapers" section (link on left frame). The wallpaper is available only at 800x600, as the source screenshot for this wallpaper was in that resolution. Expect high resolution wallpapers once the game is released.

First Machinima Movie: I have just finished my first machinima movie called Escape to Hell. You'll have to see the movie to know why it's called that :-). 3D Modeling : I have started trying out 3D modeling lately and I must say, it's a LOT of fun. There's this FREE software called Blender. If you're interested in 3D modeling, but have not tried it because of the prohibitive cost of other professional software, you really should try out Blender. It has a rather non standard interface, but once you get used to it, you can really start making interesting things. Look at what I came up with after spending just 4 hours with Blender !

Sabotage 2 Preview : Here are three shots from the sequel to Sabotage. I'm sure many of you will find the last shot rather ... interesting. Look closely and you'll see that the floor is unusually clean for a Half Life level :-).
Just in case you're wondering, YES, it is the Half Life engine, and NO, I have not modified the code. It's just an effect you can create if you use the entities in a way they're not supposed to be used :-).

Mail server problems : I've been having problems with my mail server, and as fate would have it, it coincided with the release of my fifth UT wallpaper ! ... which means, all those who wrote in to me would have probably got the mail back with some "Unable to deliver mail" or some bs like that. Anyway, things are fine now, and I have added a site to my Links section. It's the Russian UT Wallpaper Project site. They have a LOT of UT based wallpapers, so be sure to check them out.

UT Wallpaper #5 : There are two things that I consider special about my latest UT wallpaper. No. 1, the wallpaper is based on a screenshot given to me by DJ.Baldry (MaXim.sas). Yes.. someone actually took the time to take screenshots and send them to me ! In fact, I wasn't going to be making too many more wallpapers, but Maxim.sas would have none of it. He sent me 13 (yes, thirteen !!) screenshots. So, this wallpaper is dedicated to his perseverance. Well, the really observant ones would have probably guessed the 2nd reason. This wallpaper is now available in the BMP format. Finally ! Since the screenshots were sent by MaXim.sas who happens to own a copy of UT, I can finally get around to uploading the high-rez BMP image.

Two New "They Hunger" Wallpapers : I have made two wallpapers based on Neil Manke's new single player episode for Half Life , They Hunger ( http://www.planethalflife.com/manke ). They Hunger is available on the current PC Gamer CD, but for those who don't get that mag, it'll be available for download from www.dailyradar.com on February 4, 2000. Anyway, the wallpapers are a teaser for the Feb. 4th online release of They Hunger. They are available in the "My Wallpapers" section. (and yes, the wallpapers are being released with Neil Manke's permission).

NEW UT Wallpaper : A lot of people wrote in to me, asking me to upload the wallpapers in BMP or PNG format. I considered this, however, this next wallpaper is again available only in JPEG format. There is a reason for this. It might be a little surprising to many people, but I still do not own a copy of UT ! This restricts the kind of images that I can use for the wallpapers. I either take the pictures from the UTDemo, or use screenshots found on other sites. Obviously, the screenshots on these sites are in JPEG format. That's the reason the wallpapers are still being uploaded as JPEG.
However, this leads to a rather new idea that I just thought of. If you want to see your name on this site , try sending me a few (really good) screenshots taken from UT. Please send them, in as high a resolution as you possibly can (preferably 1024x768). Please do NOT send me software rendered images , unless you really think it is worth it. Take the screenshot , zip up the bmp, and mail it to me. If I decide to use your screenshot for a future wallpaper, your name will be there next to it. :-)
I have 3 more wallpapers up. These wallpapers are not done by me , however. They are all submitted by others. They sent it a long time back, but I just couldn't update my page. Sorry for that guys. Anyway, they are available in the "Submissions" section.

I have found an ancient parchment that originally belonged to Nostradamus. There is one verse in which Nostradamus prophecises the coming of Unreal Tournament. He laid out a rough sketch of a tomb which might have acted as an inspiration for the guys at Epic. Don't believe me? Check it out here .
